These oval shaped fruits native to east coast Australia, are pale green and change colour from yellow, to orange and red as they ripen in late summer. Fruit contains a soft pulp with many seeds and has been used by Aboriginal people as a anti-in ammatory poultice on swollen joints. It is called the Kangaroo Apple becasue the leaves look like the paw print of the Kangaroo.
